More Pictures and an attempt at a bath...yes "Attempt"

Mom had taken some more pictures of our time up in Redding so I thought I would put them on here- why not.
And you are now wondering- "so what is this about an "attempted" bath"? Read Below :)
So we bought this really cool tub that is supposed to fit in your sink and cradle the baby so it makes it easier to bathe him. It is flat and folds up into a cone-ish shape and is held together by "heavy" magnets...well We filled it with water and placed him in the tub and literally one second after this picture was taken the magnets dislodged (you can see it actually happening in the picture- look closely) and the tub collapsed!  Luckily my hand was still there and I caught him.  He didn't seem to mind the water until this happened then it freaked him out and I had a crying baby wrapped in a nice warm towel in my arms...that's as far as he got- so it was an attempted bath.  The tub wouldn't fit in any of our other sinks so we are on are on way to target to buy a legitimate bath tub :(

New Pictures!

Sorry for the delay, we have been a little busy.  We just got back from a trip up to Redding so that Elijah could meet my Aunt and Uncle!  We had such a good time, but as always the trip was too short :(
Elijah is now 2.5 weeks old- Friday will be 3 weeks! It is so hard to believe that he has been with us that long- and we have been without a full night's sleep for that long!!!!
13 days old in his cute rabbit moon robot onesie

15 days old- Tummy Time! Of course dressed in le top- little lamb  footy!

16 days old with Jason! (who couldn't get enough time in holding him!)

16 days old with Gina! (Getting some practice in)

17 days old with his "Grand" Uncle, Tom!

Today (20 days old) snoozing on the couch with  the paci- this is a new thing we are trying out.  He is getting fussy an hour and a half after eating, so seeing the pattern we realized that he is just tired not "hungry again"...and the pacifier worked!!!!!!  I figure, it's a little bit of sanity for us, and something we can ween him off of later...better than a thumb right?

Me and My Aunt Gaga...Aunty Erin K!

Aunt Gaga (named by Justice (my nephew) when he was just learning to talk- because she has glasses e.g. gaga- not "Lady Gaga"  NOOOOO!!!) or as most of you know her Aunt Erin (K, because there is another Aunt Erin- T- OY VEY!!!).,...  Ugh lets start again...

Aunt Erin (a.k.a. Aunt Gaga) came over with super yummy pizza bread two nights ago!  It was so nice to have her company as we had not been out all day- plus we just love hanging out with her!!!!  I stole an opportunity to snag some cute snaps of Elijah and her.  Soooo sweet!!!

A Not-So Happy Easter :(

Well...our great plans for a cute outfit for Elijah, an outing to Church, then Brunch with my Dad and Katie followed by an early Easter Dinner at the DeMers house was all ruined by the one and only- moi. I ended up being taken by ambulance to the hospital at 2 am on Sunday morning.  I was hemoraging and lost enough blood to make my blood pressure drop to scary depths.  I had an emergency D&C (Dilation & Curettage) surgery around 3:30 or 4 am and was out around 6:30 am.  Aaron stayed with me until I sent him home to sleep around 10 am and my mom came to sit with me in his place. Thank God for my mom being here!  We would have been even more flustered than we already were without her, having to call someone to come stay with Elijah while Aaron came to the hospital to stay with me etc. It has truly been a blessing having her here, and even more so now with this unexpected event.
SO- I am A- O-K now.  I had a really speedy recovery in the hospital, so much so that they released me Sunday night around 9:30p which was not only fantastic to be out of the hospital again (geesh) but to be back home with the baby, who got only one feeding off of pumped milk and the rest formula (he did great with a bottle!) all Sunday.  It did mess his little tummy up a bit, but as of today, he has pretty much recovered.
A Bit of a scary experience for all of us, but like I said before, I am doing great and am right back on track for recovery.
Me and Elijah at 11 days old (2 days after my 2nd hospital visit- I was a little swollen)
One last thing- you are probably asking what caused the hemoraging?  Well, they don't know. When they got in to my uterus they couldn't find anything that was left from the birth, which is usually what causes the hemoraging.  The doc basically said that it was freak thing, and even more of a freak thing because I had a cesasrian delivery- less than 1% of women who have a cesarian have my condition.  The only bad news is that there is a much greater chance of this happening again with future pregnancies, so we will have to really vigilant in the future.

Pooped!

The culprit in the outfit he was wearing
I just have to state for the record, that today I got pooped on. Orangy-Yellowy liquid poop, rocket launched on to my hand and the changing table.  Needless to say it got on Elijah's clothing too- so there is a load of laundry that was douced in Soil Love and Zout stain removers in the washer now.  Next up- getting peed on, followed by, getting barfed on. AH THE JOYS OF MOTHERHOOD!  :)
