Yep A Last Lucas Birthday Post!

Guess What?! Lucas got three birthdays, because he turned 3! Ok not really because of that, it just worked out that way.
So Katie decided she wanted to give Luke a birthday DAY. Super Cute. She thought it would be fun to take the kids to a pottery painting place in town and have them paint some cool things. She and I loved doing that as kids, and only got to very occasionally, so you can imagine how excited we were for it too! LOL.

Lucas picked out an Octopus, SOOO cute. As messy and ugly as we thought his was going to be, it really came out super great!  Elijah picked out a ninja turtle sitting on a garbage can.  He got a little frustrated (yep that's my son, the perfectionist), so we helped him a little....ok quite a bit, but whatever. Then Katie got the itch an picked up a robot piggy bank to paint for Luke that came out GREAT! So much fun, and brought back memories too. LOVE IT!

Thanks Aunt Katie!!!!

Birthday Party Catch Up - Lucas

**Disclaimer, I realized after I posted Elijah's Birthday party, that I had originally started a post for Lucas' bday first.  WHOOPS So you may see some out of order information but just roll with it....**

Poor Lucas, the second child, who gets over looked (yeah right - he has a great grandmother and a great aunt, lookin' out for his well-being - ensuring that in fact he does NOT get overlooked LOL!)

A good friend of mine threw her kid a pajama party with donuts for his birthday in November. I thought that was GENIUS! so we did that for Lukey.  He LOVES this show called PJ Masks, so the whole thing just came beautifully together: Super Heros, in pajamas, with donuts at 9 am in the morning, out by 11 am - SIGN ME UP!

It was also probably one of the easiest birthday parties I have thrown (aside from Elijah's party 2 days ago - THAT was simple - like really simple). We had about 20 kids, donuts, and lots of fun!  Here are some pictures of the fun that was had. Lucas is still talking about his BIG 3rd birthday party!

Erin and McKenna- McKenna was sooo excited for donuts!

Alexandra -My second cousin Elaine's little girl - they moved to town last year. SO NEAT!

Lucas' Birthday - The Second Post

AH HA! You thought you had read all about Lucas' birthday didn't you?  Well guess what, there is another part of the day that you haven't heard about yet!

Last moments with paci, and watching Elijah get his bear.
We have been telling lucas for at least 6 months that his pacifier would go bye-bye when he turned three. Anytime we would ask him "What happens when you turn 3?" He'd respond "No mo paci!" Too cute. Well like good parents we stuck to our guns, as hard as it may have been letting go of the baby stage.

I thought it would be neat to take Lucas to build-a-bear to put his paci in the bear, much like Elijah did last year with his "guy". So we did. It was super cute, but he definitely did not really grasp what was happening. He definitely didn't appreciate that you couldn't get the paci out when it was nap time, and then night time. It was rough couple of nights, but we have pretty much made it through (2 months post), though he did ask for it two nights ago - oy. Anyway I think he was not happy about his "bear" (which is actually a dog from a show that he likes called PAW Patrol) and refused to sleep with it for quite a while, really he didn't want anything to do with it. LOL!

Here are some pictures from our time at build-a-bear. Elijah got a bear too! His was a bear, but also a Star Wars storm trooper bear.

Elijah rubbing the heart on his tummy. Funny picture really.

Oh yeah we pulled out all the stops, they make sounds too
