Cousin Bob Comes for a Visit

My dad's cousin came in to town today all the way from New Mexico for a quick visit.  Elijah had a blast playing with Bob and my dad!  Here are some pictures from his visit.

Awww...sicky again....:(

Poor Elijah!  He got sick again.  As I look back in his baby book to add one more notation of illness to his book I realize that he has had a cold or flu almost every month for the past three to four or more months!  What happened to my healthy baby?!
Thank goodness Aunty Katie was there to comfort Elijah...
and let mommy get some things done around the house!
This time Elijah spiked a fever of 102.8, at the highest I recorded.  Needless to say, he was not himself.  This was followed by a rash two days later all over his "trunk" or his front and back side- stomach, chest, back, behind. They said it was most likely Rosiola, but nothing to worry about and two days later the rash was all but gone!  He is back to himself, but today seems to be suffering from allergies with red, puffy, watery eyes, and sneezing. And what is that I see?  Could it possibly be a tooth, finally deciding to emerge from his gum? We will keep you updated on the latter!  Stay Tuned!

SWING!

With the Daylight Savings time now in affect, I took advantage of it and swooped Elijah off to the park for his firs (with mommy at least) park swing time!  It was a little chilly, but we did have a good time.  Ok so I was out there like ten minutes max, but I got a call for free dinner with Erin and Nate K!  At least I got some good pictures while I was there!

Laughter is the Best Meidicine

Elijah and I were having a bit of fun the other night.  He started cracking up so hard, that I just had to run and get the camera. Unfortunately, he wasn't laughing as hard, but it's still somewhat cute.  Hope you enjoy on this rainy Saturday morning.

Big Boy Carseat!

Well our little chunker is just about out of his infant carseat.  It is really hard to believe that our infant seat engulfed him just 10 months ago and now his little legs are hanging over the edge.
I was able to find TWO carseats for my super awesome Orbit system.  I put Elijah in his NEW Big Boy Carseat the other night and thought "Ok gotta take a picture of this!".

My how time flies.  1 year is just around the corner..... :(

Radio Flyer Fun!

Elijah and Haven March 3rd, 2012
This past weekend Elijah and I headed down to Los Gatos to hang out with Aaron's family.  Aaron's cousin Sarah, had a baby girls (Allison) 10 weeks ago and none of us had met her. So we all convened at Aunt Barbara (Bob's Sister) and Uncle Terry's house for a family get together.  Allison is so big!   She is 15 lbs!....at 10 weeks?! Chunky Monkey! haha
Bridget put Elijah in the radio flyer wagon at one point, and he was loving it!  Haven (Mike & Joslyn's 2.5 year old) thought that was a great idea and hopped in with Elijah.  Bridget pulled them around and around and around the patio!  So cute!

Elijah's First Trip to Seattle!

Last weekend we (as in, me and Elijah....Daddy got the flu and could not go) went to Seattle for Aaron's (mind you) cousin's wedding. We had a fabulous time there!  Albeit, a bit draining and a bit of a trial for what was (somewhat) unexpectedly to come this week!  Thank God for Bob & Bridget.  I think I would have flown home early, OR stayed in the hotel room the whole time if they had not been with me!
We did, however, like I state before, have a great time.  The wedding was beautiful set out in the country about 45 minutes north east of Seattle in an area called Snohomish (man its Native American names everywhere up there- really hard to pronounce!).
Here are the highlights:

  • Bob Drove on the sidewalk, almost hit a homeless man (who stated to Bob's nephew that Bob was "one crazy mother-F'r"- HAHAHAHA), turned into a one-way parking lot - the wrong way, was forced to BACKOUT of the parking lot by one very loud lady-parking gaurd.
  • Elijah was almost perfect during the wedding ceremony
  • The groom lost his passport and we still aren't sure if they ever made it on to their honeymoon
  • Elijah saw his first snow (and I did NOT get a picture of it....oops!)
  • We watched a 15 year girl catch a fish (i.e. the fish market people through it to her) at Pike's Place Public Market
  • Elijah slept in my arms for at least a half hour on the flights going and coming -thank god.
Here is what I learned: Traveling with an infant is difficult.

And HERE are the pictures!

Day Care Stinks!

Well this week was Elijah's first and last week of Daycare.  Most of you know the story of A. Why he is in Daycare (i.e. Aaron got a job)
B. Why he is out of Daycare (i.e. let's just say it wasn't a good fit)
Our great friend Davina, will be watching E.J. now, at least until May (when she is due with her little bundle of joy), which gives me two whole months to find a suitable daycare, where it will be a "good fit".
I took these pictures on Elijah's first day of daycare and thought they were pretty cute.  I espeically like the first one that you see above! It's very telling.

More Later (hopefully not so long as this one!),

Love,
                                                    Kristin
