My New Sound!

This past week Elijah started making a new sound.  I guess it would be like "Ba Ba Ba"  or "Bwa Bwa Bwa". Maybe it's both?  Anyway, we are getting a kick out of it!  We hope you will too!

Spa Day and a New Accomplishment

Our women's ministry team at chuch puts on a spa day once a year at a local home.  The ladies are pampered, fed and made to relax for one entire day.  Because Aaron was gone this weekend, I took Elijah with me.  I wasn't sure how long we would last, but I don't know what I was worried about!  The ladies LOVED Elijah!  He was passed from arms to arms, cuddled, entertained and well....pampered!  The boy did great all day.  We arrived at 8 and left about 5, two short naps and a lot of love made for a great day with NO meltdowns! whew!
While we were there, Elijah started standing on his own.  OK, so kind of.  He was propped up on the couch with support and could only stay up for a few seconds.  We got a kick out of it at least!

Your Eyes Are NOT Fooling You!...

... It really is a new post!
So...the vacation posting didn't really go as planned.  I found better other things to do...like Read a Book (The Help- fab! must read!), swim, play tennis, watch the baby, eat, sleep, etc, etc!
Ok so you need an update.  Well tomorrow Elijah turns 5 months!  I can hardly believe it!  Time is flying and this boy is getting HUGE!  He just had a check up and is in the 60% for his height 25.75 inches, 68% for weight 16lbs 13.5 oz and 32% for his head at 42.5 cm. So he is above average in everything except his noggin.  Let's just say he is well balanced.

I know what you are thinking Where ARE the Pictures! Well here is one better for you, here are TWO videos.

The First is Elijah's "Tired Talk" as we call it.  These are the noises he makes when he is falling asleep:
This second video is the new thing we have been doing with him.  I am  not sure what you call it, but let's just say he likes to here himself!
...And that is all you get for now, as I have to run and feed E!  More to come this weekend ...I hope...for your sake!  Hang in there, I know it's hard ;) hahaha!

Swimming with Omama!

We got in late last night to Las Cruces, and of course, I was up very early this morning with E....but we weren't the only ones that were up with the birds.  Mom and Emery had gotten up at about the same time and suggested that in this fair morning weather, we take a dip in the pool....at 88 degrees farenheit!  I threw on a one piece bathing suit with a swim diaper (resuable, did you know they had such a thing?) on Eli and dumped him in the  pool, ok so I didn't dump him but Omama (mom's new grandparent name, acompany Emery's Opapa) took him in to the water.  After a very tramatic first swim wtih Aaron back in June, this second dunk was a much more pleasant event.  E stayed very content in Omama's arms taking it all in. I am hoping that we will have a splashing baby by the end of the week. If we do, I will surely post a video for you.

p.s. Welcome back to the blog Gram!  I hope you are all caught up now!  When's the next line dancing event? :)
