Pooped!

This is poor Elijah zonked out in Grandma Bridget's arms after quite a long cry-fest....and not five minutes before he had to eat.  Poor Guy!  Bridget said that ate with his eyes closed! HAHA!
That's MR. Monkey Arms to you Aunt Katie!

Horsin' Around

Aaron and I had a Tennis BBQ to attend, with our local GVTA tennis league.  Aaron played, while I hung around and chatted with the ladies and let E lay in his porta-bed.  Let me tell you,  You put this kid down in his bed at home and he hates you.  You put him down in a bed or on a blanket anywhere outside and he will be content for hours!  NO JOKE!

Post 2 for today! You are very lucky!

I called Aaron on my lunch today to check in and see how he and the baby were doing. He proceed to tell me that "I put Elijah on his play-gym mat because he was in a good mood.  He was batting at the dangly things and cooing while I was on the computer.  All of a sudden I realized it was really quiet, so I kind of stood up and peeked over the computer screen to see Elijah totally asleep on the mat!"
I think that gave Aaron a good laugh and me too!  I love kids!  They just play until they can't keep their eyes...open.....any.........lo....n.....g......e....r............................................................!

I FINALLY Met My Friend COLBY WALSH!!

This past weekend our friends, Johnny & Kate Walsh flew in from Florida for a wedding we were all attending.  J&K had baby Colby in January 3 months and 1 week before Eli was born!  They were pretty busy on their trip here, as they both used to live here and a ton of Family and Friends to meet with so we squeezed in a long breakfast at First Street Cafe on Friday.  It was such a nice day!  We even got a walk in!   Here are some pictures from Colby and Elijah's first "Playdate"!

hmmmmm.....
More Pictures are coming with Me & Kate holding the babies....actually each other's babies, for a round of "Guess Who's Baby, Is Whos?!"

I love my friend Emma!

Aaron and I are back on the house hunt.  He had me go look at a particular house the other day with Erin T. our realtor AND friend!!  She brought along her 2 year old Emma and towed in Elijah.  The house was empty so and had brand new carpet so I put Elijah on a blanket to rest for a second while I peeked around the corner with Erin.  We turned around a minute later and saw Emma laying down on the blanket with Eli and she said to us "I lay wif baby Lijah!"  SOOO cute!!!

Of course we couldn't get them to both smile at the same time....

My First Fourth of July

This was Elijah's first 4th of July!  We spent the 3rd of July at Aaron's cousin's house in town, just hanging out in the shade trying to stay cool in the super hot weather.  This picture is from that day- nice relaxing and a very happy baby.
We had a very lazy 4th, went to breakfast and then lazed about the house.  I went to bed listening to booms of the fireworks out side and watching the NY fireworks show on tv.  lame, but that's what I found out what you do when you have a baby!  - REALITY CHECK!

Erin in Training!

Ok, before I start, let me appologize for the long delay in getting this up.  I have been busy, plain and simple.  I am going to try to post a few here and then again on friday I will try to get the next week packed with posts for you.

So- Erin in Training...

A week or so ago we met a group of friends over at Joanie and Robinson's house.  Erin and I were playing with Elijah on the floor when we smelled a poop!  I got the stuff out to change his diaper and Erin asked if she could change it.  Not one to scoff at someone else wanting to change a poopy diaper, I said "sure!".  What I didn't know was what she said next: "I have never changed a diaper before!"  OK! well have a go at it!  She did wonderfully!  Even better, he pooped again 5 minutes later and she changed that diaper too.

As a token of his appreciation, Elijah fell asleep in Erin's arms later that evening.  That is the best feeling in the world- a sleeping baby in your arms!  Score!
