The boys and Aaron popped I. star Wars episode 1 tonight. I guess we are prepping them for the new episode coming out this Christmas. Elijah is entranced and Lucas comes and goes, but I think we may already have some fans on our hands.  You'll know where to find us Christmas afternoon....

Very time I get these boys' hair cut they look a little more grown up. Ugh my heart melts and  dies a little as these babies are not babies any more. Here's a couple post hair cut photos from dinner tonight. Excuse the messy faces.

This One's for Aunt Lynn

Elijah working on a puzzle that cam in his box
I was working from home last friday when the door bell rang. I thought it was just another Amazon package being delivered, but to my surprise it was a Mroczka package being delivered- EVEN BETTER!  "What" I thought "cold this be?!"  It is no one's birthday, we are still 5 months from Christmas, so what were they sending in this big box?
Well I had to curb my anxiousness to open the box, because really it was not addressed to me, or Aaorn, it was addressed to two cute (but noisy at times) boys- Elijah and Lucas.  So as soon as the boys got home I said, "hey! look at that!" and we got some jumping and yelling and a little screeching and we promptly opened, what turned out to be an end-of-summer-and-back-to-school care package!  How fun!  The boys were so excited! Each of the items was marked with an L or an E. Elijah helped identifying what belonged to whom, and they had such a blast.
What a wonderful surprise gift to send these boys. Thank you Aunt Lynn & Uncle Joe!

The boys did it all by himself!
What you can't see is Lucas is hold a Batman car!

Gymnastics Birthday Party

The boys' cousin Liz, turned 4 on Sunday and had a gymnastics birthday party in walnut creek. It was surreal for me to walk back in to a gym after more than 20 years, good and bad memories, but luckily not too many since this was not a gym I attended.
The kids had a blast (after a minor melt down from Elijah in the beginning) and some of us parents did too.
It really was a fun party and Erin K and I said that we wanted to have our party's at the gym too! LOL. I guess we are kids at heart.

Here are some cute little videos of the kids:

The Weekend without the Men

A couple of weekends ago, the men took off on their annual camping trip and left us women-folk, home with the children. So you know what we did? We banded together and practically had a whole weekend, starting on Thursday and ending on Sunday, together. That's how we do it!

Thursday night we had a lovely picnic at the bottom of first street. The kids ran around and we mingled. It was lovely.
Friday was work and...I can't remember. LOL. I think Dinner at Kaitlin's. Yeah I think that is right.
Saturday, was FUN DAY!
1st we went to grandma Bridget's new work- In Harmony. Its a music studio that is a franchise of a children's music program called Music Together. Bridget did a special session with the family and friends. The kids had so much fun, and Elijah participated....some of the time (he's not a real "joiner").

Then, as it turns out, it was the day of the Annual Peddlers Fair. So a couple of us walked it.
Along the way we ran in to a band of merry men (and women) playing oom-pa-pa music...with a Disney edge to it. haha!

Here is a cute video of the boys dancing away.  DARLING!!!!

Three kids in a two seat stroller. Good thing J has a skinny booty.

Sunday rolled around, and it was a normal routine day and then the men came home. The End  LOL.

HOT!

It was hot, hot, hot here a couple weeks ago. And yes, we are in a drought. But guess what? When it's 100 degrees, in this town, you do whatever you can to get cool. So I filled up the pool (GASP!) and the water table (GASP!) and water balloons (DOUBLE GASP!) and we played for a couple of hours.

The boys, lead by one 4 year old, decided that swim trunks were faux pas and that they only way to go was Au Natural (insert emperor and his new clothes). So that is why you don't have great shots, and shots with strategically placed water balloons. LOL!
