Happy Memorial Day!

Two Posts for Gigi on Lucas' 3 mo. Birthday

  Today Lucas is exactly three months! It's hard to believe its already been that long, and bitter sweet as I go back to work a week from Monday :(. I will be cherishing every last minute I get to be home with these darling boys.

  This past week have been displaced to my dads house as our place is under construction due to mold and mildew abatement, and now they have to put four walls back in our place. That's the short story, so we will just leave it at that. In the meantime, we have been getting far too used to living in a big house, and Elijah and dad have been having a good time together. Dad pulled out his camping chairs and they are currently spending some quality time lounging in the back yard. Super cute!

Two Sleepy Guys

We are staying at my dads house this week as our condo is getting abated for mold -yuck! Its been nice having more than our regular 900 sq ft to spread out in and I think we are getting a little too hard to this house living.

Tonight dad was home early and so I cooked dinner for us all. I think it was good because he fell asleep shortly after finishing his plate!  Lucas decided that was a good idea and took a cue from g-pa mike and conked out right next to him.

Elijah's Family Birthday Party

When we were in Socal we celebrated Elijah's birthday with Aunt Dawne and Uncle David & Aunt Lynn and Uncle Joe.  They threw him a WONDERFUL little party, complete with balloons and party hats.  Though some guest were less enthusiastic than other's to wear the party hats, we eventually got everyone to wear a hat. Party Like It's 2013

We celebrated Elijah's 2nd birthday about a week late, due to our little SoCal adventure.  I had found out about a local park called Children's Wonderland a few months ago and Joanie and I had taken the kids there to see what it was all about.  It was a pretty neat park; all enclosed, 5-7 different area's each with a theme from Alice's Teapot, to Fire Engines to Train Stations. Our boys had such a good time there, that I decided to book Elijah's party there.
It was a beautiful day in April, and as you know we don't usually get super nice or hot weather in April up here.  I had listened to the forecast and heard it was going to be in the 80's so I decided to get a little kiddie pool for the party, so the kids could have a good time playing in the water and stay cool at the same time.
The party went off without a hitch!  Elijah had such a good time, and so did the other kids.  I think the pool was everyone's favorite though.  One of our niece's (well...2nd cousin really, but who's keeping track?) Amara, who is 3, even cried when we took the pool down.

The Mouseketeers

Last month we drove down to the LA area to visit the aunts and uncles, as well as to go to Shauna's brother's wedding in Temecula.  The boys did great in the car ride down there and back. I was especially proud of Elijah's resilience for those long car rides, literally there was not a peep out of him wanting to get down.
Our friend Sara (also an APU alum) and her family met us at Shauna's midweek.  Sara has a little girl (4) and a little boy, Declan (18 months).  You can imagine that Declan and Elijah got along pretty well.  We were all supposed to go to Disney land until we found out that it would be a 2 hour drive and that we would have to be there by XX time in the morning.  We quickly scrapped that idea, and opted for a day spent altogether at Shauna's.  I had previously bought the kids Mickey Mouse T-shirts for our day at Disney land, even though we weren't going anymore, everyone got to wear their t-shirt.  Below is a picture of Elijah and Declan, sporting their shirts.  They are so darn cute!

Happy Mother's Day....One Day Late

Happy Mother's Day to all the mothers that read this blog!  We had a really nice day.  I got "almost" breakfast in bed...Aaron made French toast for me and it was ready just as soon as I got out of bed! I also got a great gift from my little boys *wink wink* - See the Watch Bracelet below (I got two! wow!). We went over to Aaron's parent's house to celebrate with the rest of the family and had such a nice time.  The weather was so nice that we put Elijah and Lizzy in the kiddie pool around 11 am!  If you are from the Bay Area or have ever been here for any amount of time, you know how nice it must have been to be in a pool before 3 in the afternoon. haha!
Lastly, I got to be the dorky mom that I wanted to be and put the boys in matching outfits for my special.  There is a picture of us below.  All in all, a very nice mother's day!
