(p.s. more to come- my camera died and I can't get the pictures off until I find the charger! So we are using mom's pics for now!)

A Not-So Happy Easter :(

Well...our great plans for a cute outfit for Elijah, an outing to Church, then Brunch with my Dad and Katie followed by an early Easter Dinner at the DeMers house was all ruined by the one and only- moi. I ended up being taken by ambulance to the hospital at 2 am on Sunday morning.  I was hemoraging and lost enough blood to make my blood pressure drop to scary depths.  I had an emergency D&C (Dilation & Curettage) surgery around 3:30 or 4 am and was out around 6:30 am.  Aaron stayed with me until I sent him home to sleep around 10 am and my mom came to sit with me in his place. Thank God for my mom being here!  We would have been even more flustered than we already were without her, having to call someone to come stay with Elijah while Aaron came to the hospital to stay with me etc. It has truly been a blessing having her here, and even more so now with this unexpected event.
SO- I am A- O-K now.  I had a really speedy recovery in the hospital, so much so that they released me Sunday night around 9:30p which was not only fantastic to be out of the hospital again (geesh) but to be back home with the baby, who got only one feeding off of pumped milk and the rest formula (he did great with a bottle!) all Sunday.  It did mess his little tummy up a bit, but as of today, he has pretty much recovered.
A Bit of a scary experience for all of us, but like I said before, I am doing great and am right back on track for recovery.

One last thing- you are probably asking what caused the hemoraging?  Well, they don't know. When they got in to my uterus they couldn't find anything that was left from the birth, which is usually what causes the hemoraging.  The doc basically said that it was freak thing, and even more of a freak thing because I had a cesasrian delivery- less than 1% of women who have a cesarian have my condition.  The only bad news is that there is a much greater chance of this happening again with future pregnancies, so we will have to really vigilant in the future.

Pooped!

The culprit in the outfit he was wearing
I just have to state for the record, that today I got pooped on. Orangy-Yellowy liquid poop, rocket launched on to my hand and the changing table.  Needless to say it got on Elijah's clothing too- so there is a load of laundry that was douced in Soil Love and Zout stain removers in the washer now.  Next up- getting peed on, followed by, getting barfed on. AH THE JOYS OF MOTHERHOOD!  :)
